Annual Kirkin O’the Tartan
Service 2008
The Scottish Clans Association –
Auckland District Inc. Kirkin O’ the Tartan, was held in the historic, St
Andrews First Presbyterian Church, Lower Symonds Street, Auckland.
Clan Society Banner Bearers assemble
at 0900 hours, at 1000 hours the service commences and immediately after the
Doxology, the Banners are piped into the Church.
The Banners are handed up to the
Clergy and laid up for the duration of the service.
The Lessons for the Service were
read by Thomas McDonald and Murdock S. McDonald, from Clan Donald, Auckland.
At the conclusion of the service,
the Clergy return the Banners to the Clan Banner bearers, they are then
Piped from the Church, followed by the Bible and the Clergy.
